Nice staff, great food. Price-performance ratio is very good. Unfortunately, it is a bit remote but perfect for hikers. All the ingredients were fresh. Highly recommended ??

Excellent cuisine. Again and again we will start the long journey to have a nice meal We like to drive 70 km one way to have a delicious meal here, in summer on the terrace and in the cold season in the cozy parlor.

Impresses with a great view from the sun terrace over Kranzberg. Worthwhile hiking destination when the weather is nice and the terrace is open. Friendly waitresses and innkeepers, with bourgeois.dt cuisine in a simple atmosphere. Access is via the street to the castle, after about 200 m the street follows the large parking lot of the restaurant, a little out of the way

Great food, super tasty. And from the terrace a wonderful view over the place. Is a nice place to eat and take a break for hikers, cyclists and bikers.

Simple but delicious cooked. Ideal to stop here after a hike. Nice and personable staff who also like to talk to you. In summer, the terrace is a dream and you should enjoy a sunset here. Sufficient parking spaces also available in front of the house. Would love to come back. Thank you very much

Best experience several times. All dishes, even the simplest, superbly prepared ... nice owners, attention to detail. You go the extra mile there and do everything yourself and fresh. Salads and sauces often reveal the truth. Best quality here. Even the espresso was excellent hot, the best crema and the long obligatory glass of water. We will come back !!!! Also for the vegetarians among us ...

Delicious. Simple, good, plain food

Wonderful views, very friendly owners and the schnitzel are delicious! Pommes too ... there were only empty plates, in big and small.

Positively surprised. The menu is short but the portions are large and excellent in taste. The landlord was also very friendly.

A hospitable house, here is still cooked "with love", home-style, but in high quality. I'm a regular guest for almost 20 years. Nice in the winter, in the summer large terrace. When I am there, I describe it as follows: Holiday for the soul. Update 23.9.2019: A joy when I find the way back to the forest inn: the nice front desk, still great food, with salads the balanced delicious composition and its freshness, I feel good. Almost as if I were at home.

Very nice quiet located inn. Somewhat hidden above the castle Kransberg. Parking right outside the door. We spontaneously turned up there when we were on tour with the bikes. Steep the way goes up to the inn. The steep climb makes you hungry and thirsty again. All the better that there is delicious food and drink. Very nice service. We had beautiful sunny weather and could enjoy the beautiful terrace. Overlooking Kransberg and the green nature. Glorious. Enough umbrellas you do not get sunburns there are. We will be back definitely.

Super cafe with good cake coffee and food - in winter with a real fire and summer a great view over the valley. Highly recommendable

Good food at fair prices. The view is beautiful, the inn makes a rustic impression. The nice thing about the inn is that there is no cell phone reception. Means you have to talk to each other and are not distracted by the smartphone. Very inviting for evenings with friends or families.
